Built-in and panel-ready appliances are made to look like part of the cabinetry. That is the point — and it is also why repairing them takes more than a standard service call: the appliance has to be diagnosed, sometimes pulled out, and put back without a mark on the panels around it.
What makes them different
- Access. Built-in refrigerators often have the compressor and condenser at the top, behind a grille, and are secured to the cabinetry. Panel-ready dishwashers carry a custom door panel and hide their controls on the top edge of the door.
- Custom panels and trim. Taking off and refitting panels, toe-kicks and trim without damage takes care and the right order.
- Brand-specific diagnostics. Premium brands have their own service modes and error codes; knowing them saves time on the visit.
- Parts. Premium parts cost more and some are made to order, so an accurate diagnosis matters before anything is ordered.
Brands we work on
Sub-Zero, Wolf, Cove, Viking, Thermador, Miele, Bosch, Monogram and Bertazzoni — and the built-in lines of the everyday brands.
What to ask any company before booking
- Do you work on built-in and panel-ready units of this brand?
- How do you protect the panels, cabinets and floors?
- What is the warranty on the repair, and on sealed-system work?
- Will I know the price before any work starts?
How we handle it
The $69 service call covers the diagnosis and is applied to the repair; you get the price before any work. Repairs carry 90 days on parts and labor, sealed-system repairs 6 months, and refrigerant work is done under EPA 608 Universal certification.
