Built-in and over-the-range microwave repair in Los Angeles
We repair built-in, drawer and over-the-range microwaves — the ones that are part of the kitchen. For a countertop microwave, replacement usually costs less than a service call, and we tell you so on the phone.

No heat
A microwave that runs, lights and turns but does not heat has a failed magnetron, diode, capacitor or door switch. These are standard parts, and the technician discharges the high-voltage circuit safely before testing.
Sparking, noise and doors
Sparks come from a damaged waveguide cover, a chipped interior or a metal object. Door latches and interlock switches wear out and stop the unit from starting. Turntable motors and couplers are quick replacements.
What the technician checks
- Magnetron, diode and capacitor
- Door switches and latch
- Waveguide cover and cavity
- Turntable motor and coupler
- Control board and touchpad
- Fan and vent on over-the-range units
Price and warranty
The service call is $69 and is applied to the repair when you go ahead. After the diagnosis you get the price for parts and labor up front, and nothing is done until you approve it. Every repair carries a 90-day warranty on parts and labor; sealed-system repairs on refrigeration and HVAC carry 6 months; HVAC installations carry 1 year. Seniors and military — mention it when you book.
Questions about microwave repair
Is my countertop microwave worth repairing?
Almost never — a new one costs less than the visit. Built-in and over-the-range units are a different story and are usually worth it.
The touchpad doesn't respond.
Often a membrane switch or the control board. Both are replaceable on built-in models.
Do you install over-the-range microwaves?
Yes, including the vent connection.
